HUNTER'S ACCIDENT

You may or may not know this but, Hunter had a little accident. It was a couple of weeks ago. He was sleeping in his bed and at about 3:00a.m. he fell off of his bed and hit the corner of the dresser just perfectly enough to lacerate the side of his head all the way through to his scull. Both he and I didn't even realize that this had happened. He tried to go back to sleep.



When his head was really hurting and throbbing in pain he came to me. He told me that he fell off his bed and hit it on something. I was half asleep and so I just kissed him on the forehead and walked him to his bed. That is when I felt something wet on his pillow. I thought he threw up - It was blood. I didn't want to look up at his head, knowing what I would find.

All I could think of was "not his head, please, not his head". After what seemed like five minutes, but was only 5 seconds, I looked up to see blood all over the right side of his head. His pillow was soaked through. I kept completely calm. I tried to wash some of the blood off of his head, but their was too much. I told him to stay put and I went to get Travis.




I walked calm down the hallway , Hunter was watching me, and as soon as I hit the corner I ran to Travis and I whispered screamed (Bella was sleeping in our room) . Travis jumped up so fast like the house was on fire. We ran to the hallway and as soon as we could see hunter we walked calmly to him. Travis knew right away that he needed stitches. He went and got dressed fast and took Hunter to the E.R. at about 4:00a.m. Thank goodness their were only about two people their. They got in right away and did a head C.T. . Everything looked just fine.



Hunter was so very brave. We said a good prayer as a family before they left. Chandler, of coarse, stepped up to the plate. He took care of Ashton when he woke up so we could tend to Hunter. Chandler stayed very calm as well. He and Ashton ended up on my bed while Travis and Hunter were at the E.R. and we just sat their and talked about how much we love Hunter and our family. Chandler even said that he would never hit Hunter again. That lasted about two days but he meant it at the time, with his whole heart he really didn't ever want to hit hunter again. Chandler is so awesome!
Hunter got his stitches out a week later and he is back to normal. we are so grateful that nothing more serious happened to him.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome everyone. I am so happy to have this finally up and going now. I have been working on this for quite sometime and I think I finally have the hang of it.
In an attempt to keep you all entertained, I have decided to profile someone in the family once a month maybe twice, depending on how busy I am. This is going to be great. I will call someone in the family and ask a few questions and post it on my blog. It will be accompanied with that persons favorite song or songs and hopefully a picture. I think this is a great way to really get to know the family and maybe have a laugh or two.
I know you are all wondering,"who is she going to profile first"? Well, I thought since this is MY blog I would profile myself first.
So here it goes...I love the outdoors and I miss the mountains tremendously. I love music, all kinds of music. I love to dance and I dance all the time. I love the rain and cold weather. (why do I live in Texas?). I love flowers. When I look at them I feel joy. I am a romantic. I love a good love story. (Hello Jane Austen) I love movies. I love to IM (that means instant message, Mom). Some of my favorite websites are Dictionary.com and Wikipedia.com. I also love Youtube.com. About this picture, It isn't the best picture. I am usually the one to take the pictures so I didn't have a lot to choose from. This is me after a terrible night sleep. Although I may look happy, I am so delirious that I can hardly remember my name. I think if you look close you can see that my eyes are glazed over. This is when Bella and Ashton were waking up in the middle of the night.
